The Courts Department consists of two major divisions: Criminal Courts and Civil Courts. Deputy Clerks in these divisions have many responsibilites including:
Filing of new cases; Acceptance of new documents for inclusion into existing case files; Maintenance of court files; Attend court; Compose court minutes; Make court records available for inspection; Provide information to interested parties about Clerk of Courts filing procedures and fees.
